I hate to admit it, but watching television & playing video games is a big thing in our house. I could take away toys, and I don’t think the boys would even notice or miss them. But threaten to take away their TV time when they misbehave, and all of a sudden they start paying attention.
So in an effort to keep their screen time under control, I decided to start using TV Reward Coupons. I searched online and couldn’t find any that I really liked, so I decided to make my own instead.
During the school year, the kids had to have a good day at school, finish all of their homework, and pick up their toys in order to earn their reward coupon for the day. This summer I’m trying something a little different since we’re home so much. I’m using a behavior chart similar to one that Adam’s teachers used in his preschool class. It’s a color chart, and they have to be on green or above at certain times of the day in order to earn a coupon. I’ll let you know how that works out as the summer goes on.

I was just thinking about that! My kid is 4 and he LOVES watching tv, if I let him, he could watch tv the whole afternoon, and I want to change that. Your coupons are great!!!! Can I ask you what software do you use to make them? I would like to make more coupons for different activities. Thanks!
